BUS 170 – Startup: Business Model Development

We (group of 4) created an non-profit organization designed to make recylcing accessible for students living in dorm. Through our research we concluded it wasn’t that students didn’t care about recycling but that they didn’t have time to recycle since recycling bins were on the first floors. In order to address the issue, we designed our service and bins to be placed on each floors of the dorms near the elevators.

STARTUP WEEKEND EAST LANSING 2016

The minor has provided me the opportunity for hands-on experience. I participated in 2016 East Lansing Startup Weekend. It is a 54 hours weekend event.  I worked in a group of 7 formulating a business plan for a non-profit startup call Evie Community Home. My contribution was designing the logo and offering my services and network to the group. Overall, we were recognized for the most socially motivated group.
